![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() It might be worth you looking into using this: I do not think it's hardware error as when playing Hotdogs, Horseshoes and Hand Grenades either controller will give the same amount of forward drift (and the drift amount seems to be the same with either sounds like you're having a terrible time of it. When I get a bit of time I'll compare how I'm doing the configuration for these games to see if there's any difference (although it's entirely possible that some games may put their own deadzone in). I've done some more testing and it doesn't quite affect all games for me - when running Pavlov it doesn't happen (but I think for that I'm able to use a slightly different configuration where I don't think I'm emulating the touchpad the same way). What is a bit frustrating is a lack of documentation on how to use the remapping (for some games I find that I also need to add a section that tells the joystick to act as a dpad, for some I don't). Yep - agree that the trackpad deadzone doesn't seem to do anything. Small movements of the thumbstick should be ignored based on how high the dead zone percentage has been set Setting the dead zone percentage does not appear to have any effect (stick appears to behave the same whether or not it's set to 0% or 100%) This displays the Input Settings dialogue (with options for "overlap percentage" and "dead zone percentage"). ![]() Before clicking the tick option to save the setting, hover over the Dpad touch box to reveal the cog in the lower right. (The intention with this is to be able to use the thumbstick to move when the game only supports movement via the touchpad). Fill the North, South, East, West values with "left trackpad/thumstick touch". Set the first binding to "Joystick position" with the value set to "left trackpad/thumbstick value". In SteamVR input beta using windows mixed reality controllers the deadzone setting on dpad touch style bindings does not appear to have any effect.įor a game that does not support windows mixed reality controllers thumbsticks, add two bindings to the left joystick. ![]()
